The Canton Talmont-Saint-Hilaire is a French administrative unit in the Arrondissement Les Sables d'Olonne , in the Vendée and the region Pays de la Loire ; its capital is Talmont-Saint-Hilaire . Pierre Berthomé ( DVD ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2004 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the cantons in March 2015, the canton of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire consisted of the nine municipalities of Avrillé , Grosbreuil , Jard-sur-Mer , Le Bernard , Longeville-sur-Mer , Poiroux , Saint-Hilaire-la-Forêt , Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard and Talmont-Saint-Hilaire . Its layout corresponded to an area of 283.79 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 8530.
