The canton of Saint-Jean-de-Monts is a French administrative unit in the Arrondissement Les Sables d'Olonne , in the Vendée and the region Pays de la Loire ; its main town is Saint-Jean-de-Monts . André Riccoleau ( DVG ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2001 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the cantons in March 2015, the canton of Saint-Jean-de-Monts consisted of the five municipalities of La Barre-de-Monts , Le Perrier , Notre-Dame-de-Monts , Saint-Jean-de-Monts and Soullans . Its layout corresponded to an area of 184.46 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 8529.
