Location of the canton of Chantonnay in the Vendée department

The Canton Chantonnay is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement Fontenay-le-Comte and La Roche-sur-Yon , in Vendée and the region Pays de la Loire ; its main town is Chantonnay . Gérard Villette ( DVD ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 1994 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the cantons in March 2015, the canton of Chantonnay consisted of the eight municipalities of Bournezeau , Chantonnay , Rochetrejoux , Saint-Germain-de-Prinçay , Saint-Hilaire-le-Vouhis , Saint-Prouant , Saint-Vincent-Sterlanges and Sigournais . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​243.19 km ² . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 8504.
