Eugene Andergassen

Eugen Andergassen (born June 20, 1907 in Feldkirch ; † March 31, 1987 ) was an Austrian writer .

Life

Eugen Andergassen's parents came from South Tyrol . Initially employed as a commercial clerk, he then completed a degree in acting and directing at the New Vienna Conservatory .

From the 1930s he published plays and poems that were supposed to convey a Christian message. Until the 1970s, he was one of the most important writers in Vorarlberg . In total, he wrote over 25 books. He was a member of the Innviertel artists' guild .

In 1972 he finished his work as a teacher and director at a vocational school and retired, but continued to publish literary works.
