Rochetrejoux is located about 35 kilometers east-northeast of La Roche-sur-Yon on the Petit Lay . Rochetrejoux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Boupère in the north and east, Saint-Prouant in the south and south-east and Mouchamps in the south and west.
