Fougeré is a French commune with 1,204 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Roche-sur-Yon , is part of the canton of Chantonnay and the municipality of La Roche-sur-Yon Agglomération . The inhabitants are called Fougeréens .
geography
Fougeré is about ten kilometers east of La Roche-sur-Yon . Fougeré is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Martin-des-Noyers in the north and northeast, Saint-Hilaire-le-Vouhis in the northeast, Bournezeau in the east, Thorigny in the south and La Chaize-le-Vicomte in the west.
