La Boissière-de-Montaigu is located about 40 kilometers south-southeast of Nantes . To the south, the Maine River borders the community. La Boissière-de-Montaigu is surrounded by the neighboring communities Treize-Septiers in the north and northwest, Les Landes-Genusson in the east and northeast, Bazoges-en-Paillers in the southeast, Chavagnes-en-Paillers in the south and southwest and Montaigu-Vendée in the West and northwest.
