Bellevigny is a French municipality with 6005 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of La Roche-sur-Yon and the canton of Aizenay . The inhabitants are called Bellevignois .

The municipality was formed as Commune nouvelle on January 1, 2016 from the former municipalities of Belleville-sur-Vie and Saligny .

Bellevigny is located about eleven kilometers north of La Roche-sur-Yon on the River Vie . Bellevigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Denis-la-Chevasse in the north and east, Dompierre-sur-Yon in the south and east, Le Poiré-sur-Vie in the south and west, and Beaufou and Les Lucs-sur-Boulogne in the north-west.
