Sainte-Cécile is a French village with 1,621 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of La Roche-sur-Yon and the canton of Chantonnay (until 2015: canton Les Essarts ). The inhabitants are called "Céciliens".

Sainte-Cécile is located about 30 kilometers east-northeast of La Roche-sur-Yon on the Petit Lay . Sainte-Cécile is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sainte-Florence and L'Oie in the north, Mouchamps in the northeast, Saint-Vincent-Sterlanges in the east, Saint-Germain-de-Prinçay in the east and southeast, Chantonnay in the south and southeast, Saint- Hilaire-le-Vouhis in the southwest, Saint-Martin-des-Noyers in the west and Les Essarts in the northwest. The A83 autoroute runs through the municipality .
