Thorigny is a French commune with 1,230 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Roche-sur-Yon , is part of the canton of Chantonnay (until 2015: canton of La Roche-sur-Yon-Sud ) and the communal association of La Roche-sur-Yon agglomeration . The inhabitants are called Thorignais .

geography

Thorigny is about 18 kilometers east-southeast of La Roche-sur-Yon . Thorigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fougeré in the north, Bournezeau in the northeast, Les Pineaux in the east and southeast, Château-Guibert in the south, Saint-Florent-des-Bois in the west and southwest and La Chaize-le-Vicomte in the west and northwest.
