Château-Guibert is a French commune with 1,521 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton of Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais . The inhabitants are called Castelguibertins .
geography
Château-Guibert is located about 17 kilometers southeast of La Roche-sur-Yon on the Lac du Marillet , the dammed lake of the tributary of the same name, the Lay . Château-Guibert is surrounded by the neighboring communities Thorigny in the north, Les Pineaux in the east and northeast, Moutiers-sur-le-Lay in the east and southeast, Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais in the south, Rosnay in the southwest, Le Tablier in the west as well Saint-Florent-des-Bois in the north-west.
