Petosse is a commune in the Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the canton of La Châtaigneraie (until 2015 canton of L'Hermenault ) in the arrondissement of Fontenay-le-Comte .

geography

The municipality borders Pouillé to the northwest , L'Hermenault to the north, Sérigné to the northeast, Longèves to the east, Auzay to the southeast, Le Langon to the south and Mouzeuil-Saint-Martin to the southwest .

The Autoroute A83 was gradually opened and reached Petosse on October 28, 1994 coming from Boufféré . The continuation to Oulmes followed on March 21, 1997.
