Chaillé-les-Marais is a French commune with 1,896 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in Région Pays de la Loire . Chaillé-les-Marais belongs to the Arrondissement of Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton of Luçon (until 2015: canton of Chaillé-les-Marais ). The inhabitants are called Chaizellais .

Chaillé-les-Marais is located about 28 kilometers north-northeast of La Rochelle . Chaillé-les-Marais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Nalliers in the north, Mouzeuil-Saint-Martin in the north and northeast, Le Langon in the northeast, Vouillé-les-Marais in the east, Marans in the south and Sainte-Radégonde-des-Noyers in the west .
The former route nationale 137 (today's D137) runs through the municipality .
