Auchay-sur-Vendée is a French commune in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement Fontenay-le-Comte is part of the canton of Fontenay-le-Comte . Auchay-sur-Vendée was formed as a Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2017 from the communes of Auzay and Chaix .

geography
Auchay-sur-Vendée is about three kilometers southwest of the city center of Fontenay-le-Comte . The Vendée crosses the commune. Auchay-sur-Vendée is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Petosse in the north and north-west, Londèves in the north, Fontenay-le-Comte in the east and north-east, Fontaines in the east, Montreuil in the south and south-east, Velluire in the south and south-west, Le Poiré-sur -Velluire to the west and south-west and Le Langon to the west and north-west.
