Lairoux is located about 33 kilometers north-northwest of La Rochelle in the Vendée countryside . Lairoux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Bretonnière-la-Claye in the north, Chasnais in the east, Saint-Denis-du-Payré in the south, Saint-Benoist-sur-Mer in the southwest and Curzon in the west.
