Moutiers-sur-le-Lay is about 19 kilometers south-east of La Roche-sur-Yon am Lay . Moutiers-sur-le-Lay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Pineaux in the north, Sainte-Pexine in the east, Bessay in the south, Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais in the south-west and Château-Guibert in the west and north-west.
