La Chapelle-aux-Lys is a French municipality with 253 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton of La Châtaigneraie ( canton of Montaigu until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Cappellaulissiens .

La Chapelle-aux-Lys is located about 28 kilometers south-east of Nantes on the Vendée , which also forms the northern municipal boundary. La Chapelle-aux-Lys is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Breuil-Barret in the north and northwest, Saint-Paul-en-Gâtine in the north and east, Le Busseau in the southeast, Saint-Hilaire-de-Voust in the south and Loge-Fougereuse in the West.
