Vouillé-les-Marais is a French commune with a population of 755 (as at 1st January 2017) in Vendée , in the Région Pays de la Loire . Vouillé-les-Marais belongs to the Arrondissement Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton Luçon (until 2015: canton Chaillé-les-Marais ). The inhabitants are called Vouillezais .
location
Vouillé-les-Marais is about 29 kilometers north-northeast of La Rochelle . Vouillé-les-Marais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Langon in the north, Le Taillée in the east, Marans in the south and Chaillé-les-Marais in the west.
The former route nationale 137 (today's D137) runs through the municipality .
