L'Orbrie is a French municipality with 797 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It is part of the arrondissement Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton of Fontenay-le-Comte . The inhabitants are called Orbriens .

geography

L'Orbrie is located about 30 kilometers northwest of Niort and about 55 kilometers east-southeast of La Roche-sur-Yon . The Vendée delimits the municipality to the west and south-west. L'Orbrie is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mervent in the north and northeast, Saint-Michel-le-Cloucq in the east and southeast, Fontenay-le-Comte in the south and Pissotte in the west.
