Breuil-Barret is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Pierre-du-Chemin in the north and north-west, Moutiers-sous-Chantemerle in the north-east, Saint-Paul-en-Gâtine in the east, La Chapelle-aux-Lys in the south-east, Loge-Fougereuse in the south, La Châtaigneraie in the west and southwest and La Tardière in the west.
