location

La Taillée is located about 22 kilometers north-northeast of La Rochelle in the Marais Poitevin . The Vendée limits the commune to the east. La Taillée is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Poiré-sur-Velluire in the north and northeast, Velluire in the northeast, Le Gué-de-Velluire in the east, Marans in the south and Vouillé-les-Marais in the west.
