It belongs to the arrondissement of Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton of Fontenay-le-Comte (until 2015: canton of Saint-Hilaire-des-Loges ). It has 318 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), who are called Puydesseriens .

geography

Puy-de-Serre is about 14 kilometers northeast of Fontenay-le-Comte and is bounded by the Vendée River in the northeast.

Puy-de-Serre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Maurice-des-Noues in the north and north-west, Saint-Hilaire-de-Voust in the north and north-east, Marillet in the east, Faymoreau in the east and south-east, Foussais-Payré in the south, Mervent in the southwest and Vouvant in the west.
