Saint-Etienne-de-Brillouet is a French municipality with 615 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton of La Châtaigneraie (until 2015: canton of Sainte-Hermine ). The inhabitants are called Stéphanois .

Saint-Étienne-de-Brillouet is located about 36 kilometers east-southeast of La Roche-sur-Yon . Saint-Étienne-de-Brillouet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Thiré in the north, Saint-Valérien in the northeast, Pouillé in the east, Nalliers in the south, Saint-Aubin-la-Plaine in the west and southwest and Sainte-Hermine in the west and northwest.
