Montreuil is a French village with 798 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it is part of the arrondissement Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton of Fontenay-le-Comte . The inhabitants are called Montreuillais .
geography
Montreuil is about six kilometers south-southwest of Fontenay-le-Comte . Montreuil is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Doix lès Fontaines in the north and east, Vix in the south, Velluire in the west and Chaix in the northwest.
