Tobias Krick (born October 22, 1998 in Bingen am Rhein ) is a German volleyball player . The middle blocker has been playing for United Volleys Frankfurt in the volleyball Bundesliga since 2015 . With the German national team , he became vice European champion in 2017 .

Club career

As a teenager, Krick played at TuS Gensingen and later at TGM Mainz-Gonsenheim . From 2013 to 2015 he was active in the second Bundesliga at the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt .

For the 2015/16 season, Krick moved to the newly promoted Bundesliga United Volleys Frankfurt , where he had already made 26 appearances in the first season and finished the season in third place. He also made it to the semi-finals of the DVV Cup with the United Volleys .

In the 2016/17 season, Krick scored 179 points, received 5 Most Valuable Player awards and scored the second-most block points in the main round of the Bundesliga . Furthermore, Krick ran internationally for the first time at club level this season. In the CEV Cup , Krick contributed 59 points in 7 games to the United Volleys Frankfurt reaching the semi-finals.

In the 2017/18 season, Krick once again reached the semifinals of the DVV Cup as a regular player and finished third in the volleyball Bundesliga with his club for the third time in a row.

At the highest European volleyball club level, Krick played in the qualification for the Champions League in the 2018/19 season , before he sustained a long-term injury and was unable to intervene in the 2018/19 season.

National team career

With the German national junior team, Krick finished fourth at the U19 European Championship in Turkey in 2015 and sixth at the U20 European Championship in Bulgaria in 2016. Furthermore, Krick played with the junior national team at the World Cup in Argentina.

In 2017, Krick played as a regular with the senior national team in the World League in Mexico . At the European Championships in Poland he reached the final.
