Jakob Günthör (born September 21, 1995 in Friedrichshafen ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Günthör played as a teenager in his home town for VfB Friedrichshafen , with whom he became German U18 champions in 2012 and German U20 champions in 2014 and 2015. Until 2015 Günthör also played in the Friedrichshafen “Volley YoungStars” in the second Bundesliga. The middle blocker has been playing in the Friedrichshafen professional team since 2015, with whom he became German runner-up in the first season.

Günthör played in the junior national team from 2012 to 2015. In 2016 he had his first appearances in the German national team .

Even if the families come from the same place, Jakob Günthör is not related to the volleyball player Max Günthör .
