Rareş Ionuț Bălean (born July 8, 1997 in Zalău ) is a Romanian volleyball player .

Career

Bălean began his career in his hometown at Volei Municipal Zalau . There he developed into the most successful attacker in the Romanian league. In 2019 he won the European Silver League with the Romanian national team . Then the outside attacker moved to the German Bundesliga club VfB Friedrichshafen .
