Monsireigne is a French village with 972 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton Les Herbiers (until 2015: canton Pouzauges ). The inhabitants are called Sirénémontains .

geography

Monsireigne is located about 40 kilometers east-northeast of La Roche-sur-Yon on the Lay , which borders the municipality to the north. Monsireigne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Boupère in the north, La Meilleraie-Tillay in the east and south-east, Chavagnes-les-Redoux in the south, Sigournais in the south-west and Saint-Prouant in the west.
