La Chapelle-Thémer is a French municipality with 385 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Vendée in the region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton of La Châtaigneraie (until 2015: canton of Sainte-Hermine ). The inhabitants are called Théméraires .
geography
La Chapelle-Thémer is located about 37 kilometers east-southeast of La Roche-sur-Yon . The Smagne delimits the municipality in the south. La Chapelle-Thémer is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Martin-Lars-en-Sainte-Hermine in the north, Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salle in the east, Saint-Valérien in the south, Thiré in the southwest and Saint-Juire-Champgillon in the West.
