Corpe is a French commune with 1,033 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton of Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais . The inhabitants are called Corpais (es) .
geography
Corpe is about 19 kilometers southeast of La Roche-sur-Yon . The river Smagne limits the municipality to the north. Corpe is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais in the north and north-west, Bessay in the north, Saint-Jean-de-Beugné in the north-east, Sainte-Gemme-la-Plaine in the east and south-east, Luçon in the south, Les Magnils -Reigniers in the southwest and Péault in the west.
