The Canton Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais is a French constituency in the arrondissement Fontenay-le-Comte , La Roche-sur-Yon and Les Sables d'Olonne , in the Vendée and the region Pays de la Loire ; its main town is Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais . Jean-Pierre Hocq ( DVD ) has been a representative on the Department's General Council since 2001 .

The canton consists of 27 municipalities with a total of 33,062 inhabitants (as of 2017) on a total area of 509.97 km 2 :
Until the nationwide reorganization of the cantons in March 2015, the canton of Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais consisted of the eleven municipalities of Bessay , Château-Guibert , Corpe , La Bretonnière-la-Claye , La Couture , Les Pineaux , Mareuil-sur-Lay- Dissais , Moutiers-sur-le-Lay , Péault , Rosnay and Sainte-Pexine . Its layout corresponded to an area of 186.89 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 8513.
