geography

Péault is located about 24 kilometers southeast of La Roche-sur-Yon on the Lay , which flows on the western edge of the municipality. Péault is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais in the north, Corpe in the east, Les Magnils-Reigniers in the south, La Bretonnière-la-Claye in the west and south-west and La Couture in the west and north-west.
