La Réorthe is a French commune with 1,093 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton of La Châtaigneraie (until 2015: canton of Sainte-Hermine ). The inhabitants are called Réorthais .

geography

La Réorthe is located about 29 kilometers east-southeast of La Roche-sur-Yon on the Lay , which forms the western municipal boundary. La Réorthe is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chantonnay in the north, Saint-Juire-Champgillon in the east and south-east, Sainte-Hermine in the south and Bournezeau in the west.
