Réaumur is a French village with 864 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement Fontenay-le-Comte and the canton Les Herbiers (until 2015: canton Pouzauges ).
geography
Réaumur is about 50 kilometers east of La Roche-sur-Yon . The Lay forms the northern municipal boundary. Réaumur is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Pouzauges in the north and north-west, La Meilleraie-Tillay in the north, Montournais in the north and north-east, Menomblet in the north-east, Saint-Pierre-du-Chemin in the east, Cheffois in the south-east, Saint-Germain-d'Aiguiller in the south, Tallud-Sainte-Gemme in the southwest and Chavagnes-les-Redoux in the west.
