The Smagne is a river in France that runs in the Vendée department in the Pays de la Loire region . It rises near Bourseguin , in the municipal area of Bourneau , generally drains west and flows into the Lay after 50 kilometers at Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais as a left tributary .
