Saint-Paul-en-Gâtine is located about 24 kilometers south-southwest of the city center of Bressuire on the Vendée . Saint-Paul-en-Gâtine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Moutiers-sous-Chantemerle in the north, La Chapelle-Saint-Étienne in the northeast, L'Absie in the east, Scillé in the southeast, Le Busseau in the south, and La Chapelle-aux-Lys in the west and southwest and Breuil-Barret in the west and northwest.
