Verruyes is a French municipality with 904 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement Parthenay and the canton of La Gâtine (until 2015: canton of Mazières-en-Gâtine ).

Verruyes is about twelve kilometers south-southwest of Parthenay and 20 kilometers north-northeast of Niort . The river Egray has its source in the municipality . Verruyes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vouhé in the north and northeast, Saint-Lin in the east, Saint-Georges-de-Noisné in the southeast, Augé in the south, La Chapelle-Bâton in the southwest and Mazières-en-Gâtine in the west and northwest.
