Neuvy-Bouin is a French municipality with 513 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ). It belongs to the Parthenay arrondissement and the Cerizay canton (until 2015: Secondigny canton ). The inhabitants are called Neuvysois .

geography

Neuvy-Bouin is about eight kilometers west-northwest of Parthenay . The Sèvre Nantaise rises here. Neuvy-Bouin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chapelle-Saint-Laurent in the north, Clessé in the northeast, Pougne-Hérisson in the east and southeast, Secondigny in the south, Vernoux-en-Gâtine in the southwest and Trayes and Largeasse in the west.
