Saint-Pardoux-Soutiers is a French commune with 1,876 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the canton of La Gâtine and the Arrondissement Parthenay .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities of Saint-Pardoux and Soutiers , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Pardoux.

geography
The community is about ten kilometers southwest of Parthenay . The Viette , a tributary of the Thouet, runs along the eastern border of the municipality . Neighboring municipalities are: Le Tallud in the north, Pompaire in the northeast, Beaulieu-sous-Parthenay in the east, Vouhé in the southeast, Mazières-en-Gâtine and Saint-Marc-la-Lande in the south, La Boissière-en-Gâtine in the southwest, Allonne in the west and Azay-sur-Thouet in the north-west.
