Assais-les-Jumeaux is located about 33 kilometers east-southeast of Bressuire and about 21 kilometers northeast of Parthenay . Assais-les-Jumeaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Airvault in the north and north-west, Moncontour in the north-east, La Grimaudière in the east and north-east, Craon in the east, Thénezay in the south and south-east, Pressigny in the south, Le Chillou in the south and south-west and Saint- Loup-Lamairé in the west.
