La Chapelle-Bertrand is about six kilometers southeast of Parthenay . La Chapelle-Bertrand is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Peyratte in the north, Saurais in the east, Saint-Martin-du-Fouilloux in the south-east, Beaulieu-sous-Parthenay in the south, Pompaire in the west and Parthenay in the north-west.

Route nationale 149 runs along the northern edge of the municipality .
