La Boissière-en-Gâtine is a French municipality with 246 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement Parthenay and the canton of La Gâtine (until 2015: canton of Mazières-en-Gâtine ). The inhabitants are called Buxériens .

La Boissière-en-Gâtine is about 13 kilometers southwest of Parthenay and 27 kilometers north-northeast of Niort . The Autise limits the community in the southeast. La Boissière-en-Gâtine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Allonne in the north, Saint-Pardoux-Soutiers in the east and north-east, Saint-Marc-la-Lande in the south and south-east, Cours in the south and south-west and Les Groseillers in the west and south-west.
