The Communauté de communes Val de Gâtine is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It was founded on November 30, 2016 and currently comprises 31 communities. The administrative headquarters are in Champdeniers .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes du Pays Sud Gâtine ,
• Communauté de communes Gâtine-Autize as well
• Communauté de communes du Val d'Égray .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of La Chapelle-Thireuil and Le Beugnon became part of the Commune nouvelle Beugnon-Thireuil , and the former municipalities of Saint-Pardoux and Soutiers became part of the Commune nouvelle Saint-Pardoux-Soutiers . This reduced the number of member churches to 31.
