The Communauté de communes du Thouarsais is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It was founded on December 22, 1998 and currently comprises 24 communities. The administrative center is in the municipality of Thouars .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2019, the following mergers of member communities were implemented:

• Argenton-l'Église and Bouillé-Loretz → Loretz-d'Argenton
• Oiron , Brie , Saint-Jouin-de-Marnes and Taizé-Maulais → Plaine-et-Vallées
• Thouars , Mauzé-Thouarsais , Missé and Sainte-Radegonde → Thouars
