The Communauté de communes de Parthenay-Gâtine is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It was founded on January 1, 2014 and currently comprises 38 communities. The administrative headquarters are in Parthenay .

Historical development

The community association was created in 2014 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes de Parthenay
• Communauté de communes Espace Gâtine
• Communauté de communes du Pays Ménigoutais
• Communauté de communes du Pays Thénezéen

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Coutières and Chantecorps were incorporated into the Commune nouvelle Les Châteliers . This reduced the number of member communities to 38.
