Damian Cardoso (born April 24, 1984 ) is a South African ice hockey player who last played until 2013 with the Johannesburg Scorpions in the Gauteng Province Hockey League .

Career

Damian Cardoso began his career with the Johannesburg Blades. Set in 2002 he played for local rivals Johannesburg Scorpions in the Gauteng Province Hockey League , one of the regional leagues whose winners play off the South African championship.

International

Cardoso was already on the ice for his home country at the U18 World Championships 2001 and 2002 in Division III and the U20 tournaments in 2002 in Division III and 2003 and 2004 in Division II.

In the men's national team he made his debut at the 2002 World Cup in Division II. He also played for the Springboks in Division II in 2004 , 2009 and 2012. After relegation in the meantime, he took part in Division III in 2011 , but reached the with his team immediate resurgence.

At the U18 World Cup in 2013 , he looked after the South African U18 in Division III as an assistant coach.
