La Ferrière-en-Parthenay is a French municipality with 786 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Parthenay and the canton La Gâtine (until 2015: canton Thénezay ).

La Ferrière-en-Parthenay is located about 33 kilometers west-northwest of Poitiers and about twelve kilometers east of Parthenay . La Ferrière-en-Parthenay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Oroux in the north, Thénezay in the north and northeast, Chalandry in the east, Vasles in the southeast, Saint-Martin-du-Fouilloux in the south and southwest, Saurais in the southwest and La Peyratte in the west.
Route nationale 149 and the former route nationale 738 (today's D738) run through the municipality . The river Vendelogne runs in the south of the municipality .
