Plaine-et-Vallées is a French commune with 2,405 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Bressuire and the canton of Le Val de Thouet .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 by amalgamating the previous municipalities of Brie , Oiron , Saint-Jouin-de-Marnes and Taizé-Maulais , all of which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Oiron.

The community is about twelve kilometers southeast of Thouars . To the east, the river Dive delimits the municipality to the west of the Thouet . Neighboring municipalities are: Saint-Léger-de-Montbrun and Pas-de-Jeu in the north, Saint-Laon and Arçay in the northeast, Moncontour in the east, Marnes in the southeast, Airvault in the south, Irais and Saint-Généroux in the southwest, Luzay in the west , and Thouars in the northwest.
