Saint-Aubin-du-Plain is about ten kilometers north of Bressuire . The Dolo River limits the municipality to the west. Saint-Aubin-du-Plain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Argentonnay with La Coudre in the north, Bressuire in the south and east and Voulmentin in the west.
