La Coudre is a village in the French department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The previously independent municipality was merged with Argenton-les-Vallées , Le Breuil-sous-Argenton , La Chapelle-Gaudin , Moutiers-sous-Argenton and Ulcot to form Commune nouvelle Argentonnay with effect from January 1, 2016 . Since then it has had the status of a commune déléguée with 234 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Neighboring towns are Argenton-les-Vallées in the north, Bressuire in the east, Saint-Aubin-du-Plain in the south, Voultegon (former point of contact) in the southwest and Saint-Clémentin in the west.
